Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Fast-paced high-volume clinic looking for a top skilled Certified Medical Assistant.

**Sign-On Bonus for Eligible New Hires**

Work location: 400 West Arbrook Suite 300 Arlington TX 76104

Work hours: Full Time 40 hours weekly. Monday-Friday 7:15am-4:15pm

Heres What You Need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
  • One (1) Year of Medical Assistant experience (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
  • CMA Current Medical Assistant Certification (REQUIRED)
  • ACLS or BCLS upon hire (PREFERRED
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English (STRONGLY PREFERRED)

What You Will Do:

  • Perform EKGs draw blood and administer injections as needed by assigned clinic.
  • Effectively communicate to staff and patients.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of examination diagnostic and treatment room procedures.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of the meaning and use of medical terminology and abbreviations.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and composure with the ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations.
  • Maintain a positive caring attitude towards patients.
  • Have good computer skills using a medical management application.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
  • Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures
  • Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
  • Obtain and record vital signs including but not limited to: blood pressure temperature pulse respiration height weight drug allergies and current medications and presenting problem.
  • Administer ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral injection topical rectal ophthalmic and/or inhalant administration.
  • May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis as well as perform routine tests such as EKG.
  • Schedule patients for diagnostic testing and follows up to ensure completion of testing.
