Key Accountabilities
Senior Staff Accountabilities:
- Executes complex financial tasks with a strong understanding of relevant policies procedures and controls.
- Analyzes data identifies trends and provides insights to support decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Reviews and reconciles financial information to ensure accuracy consistency and compliance with company standards.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve processes and implement best practices.
- Assists in preparing and reviewing reports ensuring clarity completeness and adherence to guidelines.
- Supports continuous improvement efforts by identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions.
- Provides mentorship and guidance to junior team members contributing to knowledge sharing and skill development.
Team Specific Accountabilities:
- Assists with the monthly invoicing and reconciliation of transactions governed by complex intercompany and external agreements.
- Maintains detailed settlement records and supports financial reporting requirements including internal and external audits.
- Applies knowledge of ISO/RTO market rules and settlement methodologies to validate transaction data and ensure proper accounting treatment.
- Supports the analysis and resolution of settlement disputes working with trading commercial and accounting teams to maintain accuracy and transparency.
Education Experience & Skill Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
Experience:
- 3 years in Accounting or other Finance field
- Experience preferred in the Energy industry but not required
- Advanced Excel skills and solid functional knowledge of Word and Power Point applications.
- Strong financial analysis problem solving & communication skills
- Process improvement oriented
- Fundamental understanding of Vistras Accounting Governance Framework
