About the Role
Reporting to the VP of Operations the Plant Manager will oversee all aspects of plant production maintenance safety quality efficiency and labor management. This role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence while leading a team to meet production goals and maintain a high-performance plant culture.
Responsibilities
Production & Scheduling: Ensure production orders are completed; communicate issues delays and resource needs; drive production while maintaining flexibility for demand changes.
Safety & Compliance: Lead safety initiatives training reporting and OSHA compliance.
Maintenance & Equipment: Oversee plant and preventative maintenance; minimize downtime.
Operational Efficiency & Cost Control: Monitor labor utilization waste production costs and targets; implement Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives; drive improvements in throughput scrap and yield.
Quality Management: Ensure products meet customer and company quality standards; address issues and implement corrective actions.
Reporting & Metrics: Track and report KPIs including safety productivity waste labor efficiency and delivery; provide updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
Requirements
7 years of plant/manufacturing leadership experience.
Experience managing teams of 100 employees.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing maintenance systems and safety programs.
Experience in the corrugated packaging industry is a plus.
