Job Description

You will be primarily responsible for the accounting of two entities with the possibility of supporting other group companies as required. If you have a background in business finance or a related field and experience in the online trading industry this role could be a great fit.

As the Accountant you will manage financial reporting and general accounting functions ensuring accurate and timely financial statements while maintaining strong internal controls.


Your Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable receivable and general ledger entries.
  • Manage financial obligations and ensure timely processing and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor and reconcile debtor and creditor accounts.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations.
  • Review and verify payroll transactions.
  • Oversee and reconcile intercompany balances and transactions.
  • Prepare and review VAT reports and ensure timely submissions.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Execute month-end closing procedures ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in the preparation of audited financial statements and liaise with external auditors.
  • Prepare payments for creditors VAT and PAYE.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS local accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Act as a point of contact for external auditors during audits.

You have

  • BSc/MSc in Finance Accounting Economics Business Administration or a related field.
  • ACA or ACCA qualification (or in progress) is considered an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with SAP accounting software is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Energetic organized and team-oriented with a proactive results-driven mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
