Position Duties/Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for functions related to Teaching Advising Research and Productive Scholarship University and Community Services and Academic Affairs as well as other duties; guidelines found in the Faculty Handbook. The successful candidatewill be expected to teach introductory accounting and managerial accounting courses. Standard teaching responsibility will be 12 contact hours per regular semester. Summer teaching may also be available. The Instructor will work closely with the College of Business and Department of Business Disciplines.

Required/Preferred Qualifications

Required:

Masters degree in Accounting from an AACSB-accredited institution or a Masters in Business Administration with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in accounting is required at the time of employment. Good teaching skills ability to engage students able to advise students in academics and career participate in administrative service expectation of community involvement scholarly activity and willing to pursue accounting certifications. Must qualify for and maintain Instructional Practitioner (IP) status per the AACSB standards and Faculty Handbook.


Preferred:

Prior Accounting teaching experience.
