Job Summary

Position Summary

The Human Resources Director oversees the human resources function (recruitment retention orientation training compensation/benefits etc.) of the facility in accordance with all applicable laws regulations and Life Care standards.

Education Experience and Licensure Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in human resources or in a related field OR documented evidence of equivalent demonstrated knowledge skills and abilities
  • Professional certification (e.g. PHR SPHR SHRM CP or SHRM SCP) preferred
  • Experience in health care preferred

Specific Job Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver appropriate training programs
  • Proficient understanding of employment law regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
  • Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws regulations and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility
  • Implement and interpret the programs goals objectives policies and procedures of the department
  • Perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights and safety and sanitation
  • Maintains professional working relationships with all associates vendors etc.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
  • Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
  • Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life CaresCode of Conductand completes mandatoryCode of Conductand other appropriate compliance training

Essential Functions

  • Provide effective human resources assistance to ED and all department supervisors in areas including but not limited to: associate relations recruitment/retention selection compensation/benefits and corrective action
  • Maintain personnel files confidential/medical files Form I 9s and other documentation as required by law and facility policy
  • Plan coordinate and conduct (or supervise) all in services
  • Conduct facility orientation for all new associates
  • Effectively manage and operate within budget
  • Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
  • Assist in the evacuation of patients
  • Demonstrate dependable regular attendance
  • Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
  • Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
  • Sit stand bend lift push pull stoop walk reach and move intermittently during working hours
  • Read write speak and understand the English language
