Like a physician we are taking care of A/C in FAL providing remedy to every booboo.

Being part of the MAP is being technically involved in anything that could occur during the assembly process. From section arrivals in Toulouse to final delivery to airlines.

ABOUT US

One foot in the shopfloor and one foot in DO we are at the heart of the FAL ecosystem. The 15ish people of the WB (A350 & A330) MAP Wing structures team 1ALLW is in charge of providing engineering support to FAL Flight Test and Customer Line (Flight Line and Delivery Center).

Our scope of expertise goes from the wingroot to the wingtip including moveables. The decisions we are making have an immediate direct impact on the A/C giving meaning to our mission.

You will integrate a highly engaged team in which team spirit and solidarity are cherished.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

- Design repair solutions

- Manage and provide engineering assessment to non-conformities occurring within the FAL flight test and delivery center

- Ensure MAP Engineering Support in accordance to FAL milestones Program and Industrial planning and customer expectations.

- Ensure persistently A/C design built and safety standards

- Participate in Chief Engineer activities related to In Service Occurrences and A/C continuous improvement

- Identify areas of inefficiency/repetitive issues etc. and contribute to changes in processes and procedures.

- Propose design modifications based on practical feedbacks

- Confidently and reliably represent MAP wing structures within the MAP Community and wider forums (e.g. Chief Engineering forum Support FAL Customer Managers in front of Airlines)

- Adapt to the specific MAP environment characterized by working in multicultural transnational and multidisciplinary teams.

ABOUT YOU

Background & skills:

  • Educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

  • Solid experience in A/C design structure field

  • Autonomous working knowledge of Airbus metallic & composite design principles processes methods and tools.

  • Experience working for Airbus within Wide Body or other aircraft programmes

  • Basic knowledge of the concession process and SAP.

  • Basic knowledge of CATIA or any CAD tools.

  • Experience in repair maintenance and related documentation (SRM AMM IPC)

  • Language Skills: negotiation level in English. French would be a strong plus.
