Continue CareRx provides a suite of services including pharmacy virtual nursing and pharmacist support as well as coordination of health care resources such as home-based Primary Care personal care services home health and/or rehab. Whether patients are referred by a provider a family or friend or after a discharge from a hospital or skilled nursing facility we are with our patients every step of the way to ensure they receive the right care at the right time when they need it most.
The Pharmacy Technician works under the Continue CareRx Director of Operations. Duties include assessing patients interest and eligibility in Continue CareRx Pharmacy Program enrollment supporting the medication management program and data entry into dispensing system.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 10am - 6:30pm eastern. This is not a remote opportunity.
- State pharmacy tech license as required
- National certification preferred
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred
Daily Tasks:
- Verify eligibility for Continue CareRx Pharmacy Program
- Contacts patients who have been deemed eligible for the Continue CareRx Pharmacy Program
- Enroll interested patients into the Continue CareRx Pharmacy Program
- Reporting and trending of program metrics
- Program resource for field clinicians
- Data entry and prescription requests for enrolled patients
- Works closely with pharmacy operation team
- Process and ship patient cycle medications

Responsibilities
- Triage interpret and input orders into computerized medication order system while meeting accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacy. Audits input versus documentation and makes corrections as needed
- Performs drug calculations including basic mathematical calculations (e.g. converting milligrams)
- May resolve issues of denials identified through adjudication and follow-up claims in Point of Sale (POS)
- Maintains current knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes
- May produce reports and keep management informed of unpaid claims and claims pending follow-up
- Provides excellent customer service to external and internal customers in accordance with company values
- May assist with drug preparation and dispensing under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist
- Performs other tasks as assigned which can include assisting in any area of the pharmacy as directed by management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pharmacy related experience
- Basic understanding of drugs medication terminology and metric system; ability to operate a computer
- Licenses/Certifications: As required by state regulations and business needs
- Detail oriented; goal oriented team player customer service oral communication
