Description

Principal Responsibilities:

Provide leadership in all areas of accounting with the objective of establishing and maintaining a proactive financial function

Establish and maintain appropriate internal controls

Oversee and provide accountability for performance of bookkeeping general accounting duties accounts receivable and accounts payable duties

Manage accounting team and work alongside third-party accounting professionals in performance of financial and accounting projects including but not limited to audits tax returns bank compliance and bank covenants

Monitor and report on the overall financial performance of the company including cash flow and capital structure

Oversee annual budgeting process

Review compare and analyze financial reporting packages

Communicate financial metrics and KPIs

Monitor banking activities assist in setting up new accounts credit card merchant accounts and other treasury related duties

Establish credibility throughout the organization as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.

Be a true financial and strategic contributor within the company

Build solid working relationships across the organization including with VP of Finance and Accounting Executive Team Operations clients customers financial partners suppliers and other parties

Ensure all applicable accounting and financial reporting is in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements as appropriate.

Compiles and manages company assets (company vehicles computers etc...)

Oversight and safekeeping of company data file sharing and intellectual property

Oversight of internal and external fraud protection (IT/ IP protection)

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience as an accountant or assistant controller

Bachelors degree in accounting or equivalent experience/training

Solid technical accountant with deep knowledge of financial accounting and reporting controls audit and systems.

Knowledge of GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles

Experience working with NetSuite and other accounting software programs in a professional capacity is a plus

Management reporting experience

Leadership experience is a plus

Expert Proficiency in Excel

Ability to set priorities with excellent time management skills; enjoy working independently with clear deadlines and deliverables

Excellent communication skills

High degree of organization accuracy attention to detail and results orientation

Proven ability to get results and thrive in an evolving environment
