Its an exciting time for Clerk coming off a year of record user growth and product launches that further our vision of making authentication and user management intuitive and enjoyable.
As our first Technical Account Manager youll partner with our most strategic customers to ensure theyre successful at every stage from onboarding through scaling and beyond. Youll combine technical expertise with a users-first mindset to help customers integrate Clerk seamlessly and grow their usage over time. Youll also be their voice to internal teams like product and engineering and identify ways to help improve Clerk.
Because this is a founding role youll also play a key part in defining what Technical Account Management looks like at Clerk setting standards building frameworks and shaping how we engage with customers as we scale.
Serve as the primary technical partner for our top accounts ensuring smooth onboarding integration and adoption.
Troubleshoot technical challenges while focusing on long-term solutions for strategic customers.
Act as a trusted advisor: share best practices recommend features and guide customers toward maximizing Clerks value.
Track account health metrics anticipate risks and proactively address issues before they become blockers.
Represent the voice of the customer internally shaping Clerks product roadmap and go-to-market motion.
Define and evolve Clerks Technical Account Management function from processes to tooling to metrics as the founding team member.
Have a background working in a customer-facing technical role (TAM solutions engineer success engineer or similar).
You have experience working with some of the languages we interact with most often ( React JavaScript Go and shadcn).
Youre comfortable engaging both technical (developers architects) and business (PMs execs) stakeholders.
You can debug technical workflows read APIs/SDKs and confidently guide enterprise customers through implementation decisions.
You communicate clearly empathetically and with authority whether in email Slack or live calls.
You balance technical problem-solving with a forward-looking focus on customer outcomes and account health.
Thrive in a cross-functional collaborative environment.
Bonus: Experience in developer tools authentication/identity or supporting enterprise SaaS customers at scale.
