Title:Teacher - Homebound
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide home or hospital instruction to homebound students within Tempe School District #3.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Arizona Elementary Teacher and/or Special Education certification depending on area of need.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
(Essential functions as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act may include any of the following tasks knowledge skills and other characteristics. This list is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY and is not a comprehensive listing of all duties and responsibilities performed by the incumbents of this class.)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and present a course of study compatible with the goals and objectives of the childs regular classroom teacher.
- Develop implement and monitor IEP for students receiving special education services.
- Collect the books and assignments from classroom teachers and maintain contact with them during homebound services.
- Provide a minimum of four (4) hours per student per week of appropriate instruction.
- Give an evaluation of student progress at grading periods or time of return to the regular classroom.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
