What Youll Do as a Mechanic/Shop Manager:

Run the day-to-day shop operations at our new location.
Perform preventive maintenance troubleshooting and repairs on diesel equipment including tractor-trailers wheel loaders and mulching machinery.
Conduct diagnostics to resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
Collaborate with the General Manager to plan and manage repair and maintenance schedules.
Order replacement parts and maintain an inventory of commonly used parts.
Keep accurate service and maintenance records.
Ensure shop safety cleanliness and organization.
Occasionally assist customers including covering mulch order pickups as needed.
Work full-time 45-50 hours per week with flexible start and end times.

Our Ideal Mechanic/Shop Manager:

Experienced: Brings 5 years as a mechanic on trucks trailers and heavy equipment with strong knowledge of diesel engines hydraulics and electrical systems. A CDL license is preferred but not required.
Organized & Detailed: Prioritizes multiple tasks keeps accurate records and maintains a clean safe shop.
Team Player: Demonstrates strong communication skills and collaborates well with management and coworkers.
Resourceful: Experienced in ordering and tracking parts inventory and ensuring equipment uptime.
Independent: Takes ownership of a one-person shop working with minimal supervision while managing operations effectively.
Active: Able to lift up to 50 pounds bend kneel and stand for extended periods.
Owns personal hand tools

$32-$35/hour depending on experience
