Job Summary
Senior Executive Finance (Master Data Maintenance)
This position is responsible for the timely and accurate maintenance of business partner and financial master data in SAP ensuring compliance with internal controls proper process documentation and effective coordination with stakeholders. The role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy reliability and currency of master data in line with established policies and addition the Senior Executive will support process improvement and governance initiatives to streamline data maintenance workflows and strengthen overall data management practices.
Responsibilities:
Service Delivery:
Create update and maintain SAP master data including business partner (e.g. vendor customer) and financial data (e.g. GL profit centers cost centers fund centers functional areas funds management rules foreign currency rates etc) in a timely and accurate manner.
Review and process master data requests submitted via ServiceNow and the Supplier Portal ensuring documentation is complete and compliant with established requirements.
Liaise with vendors and requestors across Schools Departments and Centers to obtain necessary information and clarifications.
Handle inquiries and provide guidance to stakeholders on master data maintenance procedures and requirements.
Coordinate with IT and system support teams to resolve technical issues related to master data.
Contribute to ad hoc assignments and projects as required.
Operational Governance and Excellence:
Ensure adherence to internal controls policies guidelines and audit requirements.
Perform regular data housekeeping exercises to identify and rectify duplicates inconsistencies or outdated business partner records.
Support audit exercises by promptly providing required documentation and evidence of compliance.
Participate in automation user acceptance testing (UAT) and process improvement initiatives to enhance data accuracy and operational efficiency.
Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation to promote consistency and knowledge sharing.
Requirements:
Recognized degree diploma or equivalent qualification with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in master data maintenance finance operations or shared services environment.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel.
Good understanding of ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and master data processes including governance internal controls and compliance requirements.
Experience with automation or workflow tools such as Power Query IRPA UiPath KNIME or Macro Recorder will be an advantage.
