It performs translational research that covers the energy value chain from generation to innovative end-use solutions motivated by industrialisation and deployment. has multiple Interdisciplinary Research Programmes which focus on translational Research Development & Deployment which focus on specific area of the energy value chain and a number of Living labs and Testbeds which facilitate large scale technology deployment enabling validation and demonstration of real-world applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop topologies and control strategies for DC/DC DC/AC and AC/DC power converters.
Conduct simulations experiments and analysis to advance power conversion solutions for renewable energy systems.
Review grid codes and standards and evaluate compliance of existing or proposed converter solutions.
Prepare technical reports presentations and publications to disseminate research outcomes.
Contribute to research proposals and project deliverables.
Support laboratory activities including equipment maintenance procurement and administrative tasks.
Job Requirements:
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field with strong academic and publication track record.
Solid expertise in power electronics analysis simulation and experimental validation.
Proficiency in tools such as MATLAB/Simulink PLECS or PSIM.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative research environment.
Fresh Ph.D. graduates with strong potential are encouraged to apply for a Research Fellow position. Candidates with a significant track record and minimum 4 years as a post-doc could be considered for a Senior Research Fellow positions.
Experience with grid codes HIL simulators rapid prototyping or wide bandgap devices is a plus.
