Fixed Operations Manager Job Description
Reporting to a District Manager/Market Manager a Fixed Operations Manager is a front-line sales and management position responsible for leading organic revenue growth and developing Technicians at a limited amount of worksites.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Acts as Team Leader and mentor to Technicians
- Maintains daily contact with Technicians both in-person and over-the-phone
- Schedules Technicians and distributes work-load
- Works with DM/ROD/RVP to ensure staffing levels meet existing and upcoming new business needs
- Hires new Technicians and coordinates the smooth transition through orientation into regular service
- Ensures Technicians receive appropriate technical support to maximize production
- Shares methods aids and techniques to enhance Technician performance
- Identifies high-potential Technicians and schedules advanced and cross training opportunities
- Communicates employee strengths and opportunities for improvement
- Provides balanced in-the-moment feedback
- Proactively addresses performance deficiencies and takes steps to correct
- Writes development plans when necessary
- Authors and conducts formal performance reviews annually
- Acts as the Pivot-point between customers Technicians and home office
- Initiates new business relationships at auctions rental agencies and auto dealers
- Builds on current customer relationships to effectively expand into new services
- Educates client managers and service writers about reconditioning services such as PDR partial bumper and wheel restoration.
- Conducts weekly/monthly utilization review of client/department accounts
- Checks the quality of reconditioned repairs to ensure Company standards
- Utilizes quality checks as aids to create additional revenue opportunities
- Leads monthly Technician meetings to share the happenings and direction of the Company
- Checks the quality of reconditioned repairs to ensure Company standards

- Improves personal sales skills knowledge and abilities
- Oversees compliance with all facility regulatory standards and Company policies
- Ensures Company supplies tents vehicles and equipment are kept clean and orderly
- Manages supply levels and inventories while controlling shop waste
- Reinforces Company expectations regarding professionalism ie. customer service quality dress code
- Prepares operational updates and Technician performance reports
- Experience coaching and managing team performance
- Background managing multiple projects with various timelines and often conflicting priorities
- Service orientation with ability to work across sales channels to create added value
- Demonstrated presentation skills
- Credible and persuasive communicator and active listener
- Solid understanding of financial results and material costs
- Proper judgment and common-sense decision-making when solving problems and creating solutions
- Knowledge of pertinent local and federal environmental health and safety regulations

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications experience and geographic location.
The starting compensation is expected to be:
$75000.00 - $80000.00/ year
