About the Role
This is a healthcare role and the safety wellbeing and security of our patients and staff is our top priority.
Our security services play a key role in keeping people and we have an opportunity for an experienced security professional to step into the role of Security Supervisor for Southland.
As the Supervisor youll be responsible for a team of people that look after our patients our visitors and our staff. Youll carry out routine patrols write reports diffuse tense situations and mentor the team. Youll be a peacemaker a confident communicator and display kindness and helpfulness in everything you do. You will need to be non-judgemental and have a good level of physical fitness.
Our security team are the people that keep the hospital safe.
Our primary role is Healthcare - Looking after our patients.
Secondary to that is Security - Keeping everyone safe.

About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
National Certificate in Security Level 3
Great communication skills and the ability to de-escalate volatile situations
Previous supervisory experience would be a plus but isnt a deal breaker
Previous experience in a healthcare environment would be a big help
Most importantly a positive can-do attitude
