Who are we looking for
At GHD we are looking for a new Graduate Planner - Ports to join our Maritime & Coastal team in the San Diego this role you will work with a collaborative team and be part of a dynamic culture! Our workplace thrives on a hybrid model combining in-office collaboration and flexibility. Join us in office three days a week to contribute connect and excel in our vibrant environment.
Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Data Collection: Collate and analyze data using preset tools methods and formats. Involves working independently.
- Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology external regulation and industry best practices through ongoing education attending conferences and reading specialist media.
- Document Preparation: Organize and prepare complex documents using a variety of applications for technology devices such as standard office software. Also responsible for gathering and summarizing data for special reports.
- Content Creation: Collate and summarize information for use in developing content and write first drafts of straightforward content for print or websites.
- Data Analysis: Identify collect interpret and organize a variety of industry and other relevant data in multiple formats
- Research: Independently conduct research analyses and studies in support of port planning projects
- Planning and Support: Provide general planning support as needed for GHD engineering design and other projects
- Coordination and Scheduling: Coordinate with public and private clients stakeholders internal and external engineering and environmental specialists technical subconsultants and relevant regulatory agencies and/or governing bodies
What you will bring to the Team
Education
- Bachelors Degre or Equivalent in Planning or Environmental Science in applied field
Experience
- General Experience: 0-2 years of experience in related field.
- Valid drivers license

Salary Range: $60000 - $70000 based on experience and location.
