Welcome patients and visitors ensuring a positive and professional experience.
Manage patient scheduling check-ins and check-outs.
Accurately verify and update patient demographic insurance and billing information.
Collect co-pays deductibles and other payments as needed.
Answer phone calls respond to inquiries and direct messages appropriately.
Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff to maintain smooth operations.
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and MaineGeneral policies.
Qualifications:
Customer service or healthcare office experience preferred.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to adapt to changing schedules and work in a team-oriented environment.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.
