About the role:
We are seeking an engineer to join our Power Systems and Electrification team in Gdynia Poland. You will work alongside an engaged and knowledgeable team delivering high-quality services in areas such as:
Power and control systems advisory
Power system modelling and power system transient state analysis
Power system stability studies
Power system protection strategy analysis
Power system risk assessments
Your responsibilities will also include participating in risk assessments (e.g. FMEA HAZOP) conducting on site surveys and attending sea trials managing client deliverables facilitating technical workshops and contributing expertise to international advisory projects.
In the position you will:
Contribute domain expertise in power and control systems across various advisory projects
Deliver consultancy services to maritime and offshore Clients
Conduct surveys on vessels (including sea trials) and at manufacturers premises
Act as a project engineer and project manager responsible for quality deliverables to clients
Collaborate on cross-functional projects with colleagues in other global locations
Lead or support face-to-face meetings and workshops with clients.
This role offers excellent opportunities for professional growth and collaboration across global teams. Some travel (<15%) is expected.
This position reports to: Head of Power Systems and Electrification Advisory Poland.

Position Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Power Systems or Automation Engineering
Valid driving license
Experience with power or automation systems preferably in the maritime or offshore/energy sectors
Familiarity with power system modelling tools (e.g. DIgSILENT PowerFactory) is a strong advantage particularly for transient state analysis and dynamic simulation
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to team success
Service-minded flexible and motivated by problem-solving and innovation
Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written)

Why Power System Modelling Matters:
As marine and offshore systems become increasingly electrified and complex power system modellingespecially under transient and dynamic conditionsplays a critical role in ensuring safe efficient and resilient vessel operations. Your ability to perform advanced simulations and assess transient behavior (e.g. load variations fault responses or closed bus operation) brings significant value to both newbuild and retrofit projects.
Therefore we emphasise significance of future candidate background within power system domain and transient state modelling capability. This area of competence would be considered as significant contributor in future employee competence picture.
This capability enhances our ability to advise clients on system design fault tolerance blackout prevention and regulatory compliancemaking it a distinct advantage for candidates with strong modelling expertise.
