Job Description

Provides secretarial service to support personnel functions for the Human Resource Department.

The following statements are illustrative of the essential functions of the job and other key duties that may be required.   • Reports consistently for work as scheduled

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Attains proficient or higher evaluations on established Performance Standards

  • Answers telephone and greets visitors providing information and routing inquiries as appropriate

  • Assists applicants and new staff with appropriate paperwork and processes

  • Assists with appointments and meetings as needed

  • Assists with background checks and fingerprinting requirements

  • Assists with volunteer coaching observation requests vendor coordination and hiring-related tasks and processes including posting content transfer requests and required documentation

  • Attends professional meetings seminars and workshops

  • Develops and maintains required reports

  • Files and sorts a variety of documents including sensitive and confidential information

  • Interprets explains and executes district rules regulations policies and procedures to staff and the public

  • Maintains Human Resources-related information related to specific responsibilities

  • Maintains various databases reports and office filing systems

  • Opens sorts and distributes incoming mail and prepares outgoing mail as requested

  • Prepares and assists with orientations and related materials

  • Performs a variety of duties using various types of office equipment

  • Performs Notary Public duties

  • Performs routine activities related to departmental functions and job-specific responsibilities

  • Prepares and processes data and reports related to job-specific responsibilities

  • Prepares correspondence reports and updates lists related to job-specific responsibilities

  • Processes information paperwork and files and routes them accordingly

  • Provides assistance to district staff consistent with job-specific responsibilities including job posting information

  • Provides assistance to other Human Resources office staff

Required Qualifications:

High school graduate -high school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in K-12 education office setting

Compensation Range:

$25.15-26.41
