Job Summary:

System Design and Architecture (SDA) is an exciting and challenging environment where you will have the opportunity to design develop and partner with multi-disciplines to shape innovative solutions for our customers. This position is an onsite role in Tucson AZ

This position can be a Sophomore Junior Senior or Post Graduate Technical Intern based on the candidates qualifications and standing as outlined below:

• (Sophomore Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelors degree program and classified as a Sophomore by start of internship
• (Junior Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelors degree program and classified as a Junior by start of internship
• (Senior Technical Intern)- must be enrolled in a Bachelors degree program and classified as a Senior by start of internship
• (Post-Graduate Technical Intern) - must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications You Must Have) by start of internship

What You Will Do:

As a System Design Intern within SDA you will develop CONOPS system architecture system requirements and manage qualification verification and validation. You will also perform functional / physical analysis allocation and trade studies. You will support engineering testing integration and flight-testing production system deployment and post deployment support across the product lifecycle. Through Digital Transformation (DTx) you will perform these functions using a variety of methods and enabling technologies including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Agile product development.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelors (or higher) degree program and will be at minimum entering their Junior Senior or Post Graduatestanding level by the start of Summer 2026.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Specific majors: Systems Engineering or related scientific or STEM discipline
• 3.00 cumulative GPA required.
• Experience or coursework in System Design
• Matlab and/or C experienceModeling and Simulation experience
• Ability to analyze issues and define solutions
• Strong communication skills including effective written verbal and listening skills
• Self-starter with the ability to independently pursue information and solve problems
• Basic Engineering skills and interest in how systems are developed and function

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
