Contract: September 2025 July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: 444 per week (PAYE)

A secondary school in Wandsworth is recruiting a PE Teaching Assistant to support pupils in physical education lessons and extracurricular sports. This PE Teaching Assistant role is particularly suited to individuals with a background in sports science physical education or coaching. You will assist PE teachers in delivering lessons support pupils with practical activities and help run after-school sports clubs and fixtures.
As a PE Teaching Assistant you will encourage pupils to develop teamwork resilience and a positive attitude towards health and fitness. You will also provide one-to-one support for pupils who need extra guidance in lessons help organise sports equipment and contribute to school events such as sports days and inter-school competitions.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils in PE lessons and practical activities
- Assisting with after-school sports clubs and fixtures
- Encouraging participation confidence and teamwork
- Helping teachers set up equipment and organise events
