Dámbü Tän Ketsádań Ku Cliff Trail Elementary is a brand new state of the art Kindergarten to Grade 7 elementary school focusing on 21st century learning principals. We are located on the traditional territory of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and Taan Kwächän council. The school is situated in a brand new rapidly growing diverse and culturally inclusive subdivision. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Please clearly demonstrate on your cover letter and resume how you meet the following qualifications and experience:
- Grade 12 graduation or equivalent
- Experience working with youth
- Experience working with youth with special needs would be considered an asset
- Post-secondary training in educational assistant exceptionality worker special education assistant teacher education or a related field would be considered an asset
- Experience integrating self-regulation and social-emotional care practices in the classroom is an asset;
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND SUITABILITY:
The ideal candidate will possess these qualifications skills and knowledge but also demonstrate suitability for the role and organizational culture:
- Ability to work effectively with students teachers and parents;
- Adaptability to cope with a wide variety of situations;
- Ability to work as a member of a team;
- Good organizational interpersonal and communication skills;
- Flexibility to undertake a variety of assignments;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision;
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Criminal Record/RCMP Check with Vulnerable Sector;to be provided before the first day of employment dated no more than 3 months prior to your start date
- Standard First Aid Certificate or a willingness to complete within 3 months
- Completion of the Educational Assistant Module by the end of the school year
