Dámbü Tän Ketsádań Ku Cliff Trail Elementary is a brand new state of the art Kindergarten to Grade 7 elementary school focusing on 21st century learning principals. We are located on the traditional territory of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and Taan Kwächän council. The school is situated in a brand new rapidly growing diverse and culturally inclusive subdivision. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Please clearly demonstrate on your cover letter and resume how you meet the following qualifications and experience:

• Grade 12 graduation or equivalent
• Experience working with youth
• Experience working with youth with special needs would be considered an asset
• Post-secondary training in educational assistant exceptionality worker special education assistant teacher education or a related field would be considered an asset
• Experience integrating self-regulation and social-emotional care practices in the classroom is an asset;

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND SUITABILITY:

The ideal candidate will possess these qualifications skills and knowledge but also demonstrate suitability for the role and organizational culture:

• Ability to work effectively with students teachers and parents;

• Adaptability to cope with a wide variety of situations;

• Ability to work as a member of a team;

• Good organizational interpersonal and communication skills;

• Flexibility to undertake a variety of assignments;

• Ability to work with minimal supervision;

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• Criminal Record/RCMP Check with Vulnerable Sector;to be provided before the first day of employment dated no more than 3 months prior to your start date
• Standard First Aid Certificate or a willingness to complete within 3 months
• Completion of the Educational Assistant Module by the end of the school year
