Job Summary
Minimum qualifications:Valid Ohio High School teaching license/certificate in Integrated Social Studies levels 7 -12Masters Degree preferred but not requiredKnowledge of research and literature on current reading and writing theory and practiceAbility to work with diverse cultural backgroundsEffective written and verbal communication skillsAvailable for flexible scheduling Flexible resourceful enthusiastic and high energy levelMust have a valid drivers license and personal transportationWillingness to pursue or have a license/certificate in work based learningResponsibilities:Be willing to create engaging instructional activities that go beyond textbook learningHave the ability to creatively assist students who are faced with significant personal or learning challenges to increase students achievement and moraleBe competent in all areas of Ohio Graduation AssessmentsBe committed to ongoing professional learning and growthBe willing to use technology effectively in the classroomBe willing and able to team with colleagues and college facultyCommit to students and the ultimate goal of graduationIn collaboration with counselors and teachers hold parent/student conferences on a quarterly basisMaintain accurate data and records to document all activities and services providedAnalyze quarterly grades district assessments and end-of-course data for student progressMentor and follow through with the identified students over a sustained period of timeEstablishes and maintains cooperative relationships with students school personnel and familiesAll other duties as assigned by district administration and/or building principalPlease submit the following: letter of interest resume and copy of license BCI/FBI checks and three letters of recommendation to Jonathan Stevens at or:Early College AcademyATTN: Danny Graves137 E.
