This position willserve as a member of the mills Supply Chain team taking on the management of spare parts responsibilities under the leadership of the Spare Parts Supervisor. This role will work closely with our Purchasing and our Operations team members.

SCOPE:
Perform duties to monitor and maintain the accuracy of equipment parts inventory in support of plant operational and maintenance activities and assist maintenance with parts identification working within the limits of standard or accepted practice. Continuously supports Sofidels Employee Personal Practice Policy.

- Support Sofidel Americas Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP to promote a safe sanitary and hygienically sound workplace and promotes Sofidel Principles and Values.
- Ensures administratively and physically that an adequate supply of parts is available in inventory and ensure accurate and complete records of every part on all equipment; maintain the physical and the computerized inventory tracking system.
- Supports the Spare Parts Supervisor in managing activities regarding the purchase of plant related goods and services; collaborating with pertinent technical staff in purchasing complimentary products and spare parts.
- Supports the Spare Parts Supervisor in managing working relationships with outside suppliers internal stakeholders and establishing proper inventory levels cooperatively with such parties.
- Supports the Spare Parts Supervisor in the research and quoting of machine parts to be purchased and assists production and maintenance with identification of parts. Provides support in determination of sourcing for parts supplies and services required.
- Supports the Spare Parts Supervisor with entire spare parts workflow; from unload to goods receipt to storage and labeling and final delivery.
- Supports Supply Chain team with Quarterly and Annual cycle counts of Spare Parts warehouse.
- Contact and coordinate with other manufacturing plants and assist with the acquisition or identification of parts required. Prepare parts for shipment to other company locations or to outside vendors for processing.
- Must be able to operate and manage in SAP or other ERP system.
- Must possess a knowledge of warehouse activities as it relates to spare parts inventories tracking and receiving of materials.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages activities regarding the purchase of plant-related goods and services and guarantees that policies and procedures are correctly applied coordinating with Group Purchase Management
- Collaborates with the pertinent technical staff in purchasing complementary products and spare parts.
- Collaborates with the Accounting Office on problems regarding the billing of purchased goods/services.

OTHER DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:
- Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies. Pick pack and ship parts.
- Supporting the Supply Chain and Maintenance Team with KB/KA process for repairs and shipments.
- Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:
Employee will use computer and peripherals standard and customized software applications and tools and usual office equipment.
Education/Experience: High School Graduate or GED; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have experience in SAP. Possess excellent computer skills. Must have advanced Excel experience with the ability to create and maintain complex spreadsheets.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and quality and procedure manuals.
Math Ability:
Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when in the plant and warehouse areas. PPE will include safety shoes eye and ear protection reflective vests and hairnets or hats along with any other necessary protection. Temperatures in the plant/warehouse can range a great deal from season to season. The employee will be exposed to considerable paper dust and employees will also be exposed to noise levels that will require hearing protection.
