Job description
As an Engineering Manager you will be responsible for leading a cloud engineering team on varied customer projects while also architecting cloud-centric solutions based on customers needs. At SnapSoft we perform end-to-end delivery from architecture design to implementation where you can be part of constructing the cloud infrastructure of international companies mainly in fintech aviation telco and edtech industries. With your expertise you will help our customers achieve and maintain robust availability resilience and scalability in their cloud-based products while ensuring their infrastructures security and compliance.
Job requirements
What youll be doing
Leading and mentoring cloud engineering teams fostering collaboration and ensuring delivery excellence
Providing direct line management coaching and professional development for a team of cloud engineers and migration specialists
Fostering a high-performing technically excellent team focused on secure and scalable migrations.
Owning the end-to-end solution as a key decision-maker and aligning customer needs with technical outcomes
Facilitating customer workshops refinement sessions and planning discussions to define clear delivery goals
Driving recruitment onboarding and performance management for your team
Championing engineering best practices knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
Architecting and implementing complex AWS infrastructures and zero-day compliant landing zones
Reviewing and remediating customer solutions using the AWS Well-Architected Framework
Driving migrations from on-premises and other cloud providers (GCP Azure Heroku) into AWS
Designing building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
Defining infrastructures as code with Terraform (Terragrunt preferred) or AWS CloudFormation
Staying up to date with AWS innovations and driving SnapSofts AWS Partner journey by contributing to Competency and Service Delivery Programs
You are looking for us if you have
Excellent problem-solving skills for use-case-specific architecture design and implementation
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to lead teams and engage customers effectively
Proven technical leadership experience in coordinating engineering projects and guiding teams
Strong client-facing skills to lead refinements planning and technology discussions
Experience in building and scaling engineering teams including recruitment and talent development
Ability to influence stakeholders and align engineering outcomes with business goals
A masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
8 years of experience in the field of software development
4 years of hands-on AWS infrastructure design deployment and operations experience
In-depth knowledge of AWS services: VPC EC2 S3 RDS Lambda ECS EKS IAM API Gateway CloudFront SecurityHub GuardDuty CloudWatch KMS PCA and others
3 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred CloudFormation Ansible AWS CDK etc.)
3 years of experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions GitLab Bitbucket or similar)
2 years of experience with container-based applications (Docker Kubernetes/EKS)
Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP DNS VPN load balancers firewalls) and related AWS services
Strong understanding of cloud security concepts (IAM PoLP access control encryption endpoint security)
AWS Professional/Specialty Certification (preferred)
