Halcyon is looking for a highly motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing sales this role you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities building relationships with prospective clients and generating pipeline within the cybersecurity and ransomware protection space.
This role will primarily focus on theUK market with additional coverage across Nordics and Benelux. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills a proactive approach to sales and a passion for the cybersecurity industry.
Lead Generation: Prospect identify and qualify potential customers through inbound and outbound prospecting (calls emails LinkedIn outreach).
Client Engagement: Engage with decision-makers in target companies to understand their cybersecurity needs challenges and pain points particularly related to ransomware threats.
Sales Support: Work closely with Sales and Marketing to execute lead generation campaigns and outreach strategies.
Pipeline Management: Maintain an accurate pipeline of prospects and manage lead data within Salesforce.
Educate & Qualify: Share Halcyons value proposition and qualify leads for hand-off to Account Executives.
Nurturing: Consistently follow up with leads and ensure engagement until they are ready for deeper sales conversations.
Market Intelligence: Stay up to date with industry trends the competitive landscape and ransomware threats to communicate value effectively.
13 years of experience in sales development or business development preferably in cybersecurity or technology.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape especially ransomware threats is a plus.
Experience with CRM and sales systems (Salesforce Salesloft/Outreach ZoomInfo LinkedIn Navigator Gong etc.).
Proactive and able to thrive both independently and in a collaborative team.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales activity targets and KPIs.

In accordance with applicable UK employment regulations the ranges provided are Halcyons reasonable estimates for this role. Actual earnings may vary based on experience skills and location. This role may also be eligible for equity in the Company.

In accordance with applicable state and federal laws the range provided is Halcyons reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience knowledge skills abilities and location. Base pay is one part of the total package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives and equity in the Company.
