You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe SHIPS Project Manager is responsible for overall administration of King Countys Support and Scale Up of HIV Prevention Services in Sexual Health Clinics (SHIPS) grant funded by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC). The goal of SHIPS is to strengthen the Sexual Health Clinics infrastructure and improve service delivery to address syndemic of HIV and other STIs. The manager is responsible for developing and monitoring the workplan hiring and supervising project staff writing grant-related reports and applications negotiating and overseeing a contract with a community partner and serving as liaison to governmental academic and community partners. The Program Manager is supervised by the Sexual Health Clinic manager.
Temporary opportunity. Term-Limited Temporary (TLT) positions are at-will positions but are eligible for benefits. This TLT is currently anticipated to last through July 31 2026.However funding sources for this work remain uncertain and dependent upon decisions actively being made at both the federal and local levels. As a result the end date of this position may be adjusted based on those decisions. The County and the Department continue to work to secure long term funding sources.
This vacancy can also be filled as a Special Duty opportunity. For Special Duty Assignment interest you must be a Career Service Career Service Exempt or other regular (non-temporary) employee in King County who has completed their initial County probation. You must have supervisor approval prior to taking a Special Duty Assignment.

Necessary Special Requirements
Work Schedule
This position is Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00. This position is FLSA exempt and not eligible for overtime.
Work Location
The work associated with this position will be performed through a combination of remote and onsite work. The successful candidate may be expected to report to the office for onsite work typically 3- 4 times a week. The frequency of onsite work may vary based on business or operational needs and be adjusted accordingly. The primary onsite location is Harborview Medical Center 908 Jefferson Seattle WA 98104.
Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
