Your role asa Senior Software Developer

Dialogues Mobile and Web application is used by millions of Canadians. The team responsible for its development is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join and help evolve the main point of entry for the services that power Dialogues software products.

About the Development team

Dialogues Integrated Health Platform supports the health and wellness of millions of people across 49000 organizations. We operate a reliable highly available multi-tenant software architecture that powers several white-label mobile applications for our members as well as desktop software used by our operations team to deliver care.

What youll be doing:

  • Writing and supporting a leading-edge backend components and unified codebase React web application
  • Understand the experience of end-user problems defined by the product manager.
  • Working in a traditional scrum team that delivers solutions and user journeys incrementally including coaching more junior software developers.
  • Draft and review technical design documents and architecture.
  • Define plans to manage and reduce technical debt and contribute to its implementation.

Wed love to hear from you if you have:

  • Have 5 years of relevant professional experience ideally in healthcare (A B.S. M.S. or Ph.D. in computer science or a related technical field is a plus).
  • Have project leadership including:
    • Ability to understand how technical work aligns with business goals
    • Proposing architecture and system designs
    • Ability to evaluate and recommend solutions and trade-offs
  • Have technical proficiency:
    • Proficient in Python (fastapi is a plus)
    • Strong experience in DB design and queries Postgres is a plus
    • Cloud provider experience (AWS services is a plus)
    • Knowledge of testing strategies
    • Strong debugging skills
    • CI/CD experience (such as Docker Kubs CircleCI)
  • Love team work:
    • Knowledge transfer abilities (documentation training mentoring)
    • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
    • A burning desire to make an impact while having fun solving complex challenges with your teammates!

Please note that as we serve customers across Canada bilingualism is essential for this position. You may be required to communicate in French and English.
