The Office of University Communications is looking for a student worker to help with the Universitys central video production and digital publishing work.
UVA Communications is responsible for creating visual content for theUVA social platformsUVA Today and a variety ofpaid marketing materialsrelated to the University. Ourstudentworkers in the past have produced video stories about theUVA Debate Team directed aCavman reveal and scripted and starred inYear in Reviewwrap ups. Working with the multimedia team means behind-the-scenes access to events and opportunities to meet and work with interesting and important people across Grounds.
The ideal candidate will have an interest in visual communication marketing and social media and experience editing in Adobe Premiere. Video production and animation skills are a plus but not required as we can provide training. This is a paid position for 5-15 hours a week with most hours expected to be in office if not on a video production. Hours are adjustable around the students class schedule and dependent on the specific project.
The student worker will serve as a liaison between UVA communications and members of the student body and will keep abreast of student life events that help tell the overall University experience.
