A Brief Overview

The Senior Benefit Advisory Services Consultant supports TriNets Sales teams in positioning TriNets employer-sponsored employee benefit plan offerings as it relates to the sales positioning of TriNet-sponsored benefits and overall TriNet value proposition. This individual will be responsible for delivering benefits strategy guidance in line with defined industry needs during various stages of the sales process and during the transition from prospect to client in conjunction with TriNet sales consultants. By providing expert insights and value during benefit discussions this individual is instrumental in differentiating our solutions with prospective customers.

What you do

  • Support TriNets Sales teams in positioning TriNets employer-sponsored employee benefit plan offerings by maintaining and fostering best practices and compliance related to the sales positioning of TriNet-sponsored benefits and overall TriNet value proposition and by delivering and enhancing benefits strategy guidance in line with defined industry needs during various stages of the sales process and during the transition from prospect to client in conjunction with TriNet sales consultants.
  • Manage and nurture assigned Broker/General Agency partner relationships. Work cross functionally with related internal TriNet teams and Broker/General Agency contacts throughout the customer lifecycle including but not limited to the benefits renewal process.
  • Generate and deliver informative collateral and benefits knowledge pre and post-sale to TriNet sales colleagues and the extended TriNet ecosystem; including but not limited to the utilization of various support tools related to benefits and plan comparison(s) and ACA compliance knowledge.
  • Serve as a primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) in subject relevant support calls benefit trainings and presentations both virtually and in person as needed.
  • Engage and partner with internal teams on critical and ongoing projects on behalf of Sales Support.
  • Expand benefits knowledge experience and capabilities by participating in professional development and training.
  • Serve as key liaison on process improvement critical vendor projects and cross functional projects.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience required

Experience Qualifications

  • Typically 5 years with group benefits/insurance sales as a broker brokerage with a general agency or insurance carrier required

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of sales/renewal cycles and interacting with decision makers in a variety of industries. (Intermediate proficiency)
  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of a wide range of benefits and insurance products. Solid understanding of group health insurance is critical as is the desire to serve as a subject matter expert. (Intermediate proficiency)
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills. (Intermediate proficiency)
  • Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of an organization. (Intermediate proficiency)
  • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team along with an attention to detail. (Intermediate proficiency)
  • Clear and precise understanding and adherence to ethical principles company values code of conduct and policies. (Intermediate proficiency)
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely effective efficient and economic delivery of services. (Intermediate proficiency)
  • Desire to deepen knowledge related to current and future TriNet products and services. (Intermediate proficiency)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills (Intermediate proficiency)
  • Knowledge and experience in sales methodology training (Intermediate proficiency)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge Salesforce (Intermediate proficiency)

The preferred location for this role is Atlanta GA and the salary range for this location is $68400.00 to $139440.00. All qualified external applicants will be considered for an in-office role based in Atlanta. All qualified internal candidates are encouraged to apply and consider relocation to Atlanta and may be considered for remote hire at the companys discretion. The candidates final salary offer will be based on the candidates skills education work location and experience.

A candidates compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNets corporate bonus plan.
