Employment Specialist, Qualified Professional

Do you believe meaningful work can change a persons life At Easterseals UCP our ACT team is looking for a compassionate and motivated Employment Specialist / Qualified Professional who shares that this role youll walk alongside individuals living with severe and persistent mental illness as they prepare for find and thrive in competitive employment.

Youll be trained in the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model which means youll be using proven person-centered strategies to help people discover their strengths build confidence and take real steps toward independence. Every day youll see the impact of your workwhether its coaching someone through a new job building partnerships with local businesses or celebrating the first paycheck of someone who never thought employment was possible.

What Youll Do

• Inspire and encourage individuals to explore education and employment opportunities.

• Partner with local businesses to create job matches and meaningful placements.

• Provide job coaching workplace support and benefits counseling to set clients up for long-term success.

• Collaborate daily with a multidisciplinary ACT team to deliver holistic wraparound care.

• Advocate for client goals empower families and ensure each persons preferences are respected.

What Were Looking For

• Education & Experience: Bachelors degree in a human services field plus the required MH/DD/SA experience (per service definition).

• Skills: Relationship builder motivator and problem-solver who believes in recovery and the dignity of work.

• Requirements: Valid drivers license reliable transportation and comfort working in the community (homes job sites schools shelters and more).
