About the Role
Essity Manufacturing Professional Hygiene North America is currently seeking a Process Engineer/Start Up Leader at our Converting Operation in Cherokee AL. This position is responsible for startup of a new bath tissue machine. Once the start-up is completed this position will take on additional assets in a Process Engineer role. This will involve creating the standards in production process and for communication and training of the production teams. This person will facilitate the application of Global Manufacturing Excellence principles and tools (work instructions and procedures for safety quality daily direction setting - DDS clean inspect lubricate - CIL maintenance and Center Lining - CL).
Serves as Role Model for safety monitors and improves the processes according to Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) methodologies. Sets and saves process settings and standards (CL CIL) and facilitates the application of safety quality delivery and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) standards/systems to eliminate waste and loss.

Support product/material development and new asset capital project implementation;
Master DDS zero loss flow chart and coach teams in the application;
Own technical gap analysis;
Facilitates the application of standards/systems his/her area of responsibility;
Is ultimately responsible for continuously optimizing the production processes in a sustainable way through RCA and standardization;
Is responsible for training and coaching the operation teams to improve behaviors to the defined standards and procedures.
Motivated self-starter with a proven history of continuous improvement and asset optimization;
Engages team leadership in small and large group facilitation;
Prefer a technical bachelors degree in Paper Science Chemical Engineering Industrial Environmental or Mechanical Engineering or related applied-sciences field;
1 years of manufacturing experience;
Interested in progressing through leadership and engaging with a growing global company.
