The Skylark Federation Individual Needs Assistant (SEN Focus)
Location: Iford and Kingston CE Primary School
The Skylark Federation is seeking a caring enthusiastic and committed Individual Needs Assistant (INA) to join our welcoming and friendly team at Iford and Kingston CE Primary School.
This rewarding role will primarily involve working closely with a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within our Early Years setting. You will be supporting the childs learning and development through a play-based curriculum helping to create a nurturing inclusive environment where they can thrive socially emotionally and academically.
Experience or interest in speech and language development and/or Early years is highly desirable. Supporting communication skills will be a key element of the role.
The successful candidate will:
Work as part of the Early Years team to deliver engaging play-based learning experiences tailored to the childs individual needs.
Collaborate closely with the class teacher SENCO and external professionals to ensure consistent and effective support.
Be patient compassionate and adaptable in responding to the childs needs throughout the school day.
Liaise effectively with parents/carers and colleagues to promote the childs well-being learning and progress.
Full training and ongoing support will be provided to ensure the successful candidate feels confident in delivering high-quality SEN support. A genuine passion for working with young children and those with additional needs is essential.
Hours: 8.30am 3.15pm term time only.
