Job Description

Quality Production Specialist (Associate or Mid-Level)

Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Quality Production Specialist (Associate or Mid-Level) to join our team located in New Orleans LA!

This position will be directly supporting the manufacturing and assembly of the Space Launch System Core Stage and Exploration Upper Stage. The Space Launch System is the next generation rocket that will be carrying humans back to the Moon and beyond to Mars.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve processes and procedures.
  • Support Internal and third party audits.
  • Assures adherence to internal processes and procedures.
  • Review and approve Manufacturing Execution planning
  • Assign Mandatory Inspection Points
  • Support Test activities.
  • Document validate and/or disposition nonconformance records
  • Review and approve nonconformance planning
  • Facilitate and participate in corrective action events
  • Formulate and assign corrective action tasks track to completion
  • Document corrective actions in appropriate systems
  • Develop and track Quality Metrics

This is a NASA safety-sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.

This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • More than 1 year of experience in Quality
  • More than 1 year in aerospace manufacturing
  • Experience with AS9100 and/or a similar Quality Management System standard

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 3: More than 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • More than 1 year of experience in aerospace product and process improvement initiatives
  • More than 1 year of experience in quality inspection
  • More than 1 year experience performing Material Review Board (MRB) product review
