Job Description
MAIN SCOPE OF THE POSITION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Within the Manufacturing Planning Department the Planner Buyer is responsible to issue POs according to the RDA issued by the Material Planner. Coordinate with suppliers to manage delayed or expedited shipments. Main aim is to ensure the materials supply within material lead-time to support operational needs.
Buyer/Planner have to help achieve into the material inventory for assigned materials to meet the established goals.
The position is offered with a fixed-term employment contract.
Key activities for this include but are not limited to:
- Issuance of Purchase Orders
- Post and updated all order confirmations received from suppliers
- Ensure timely material supply to support and operational needs cooperate with CS/warehouse to ensure purchased materials delivery.
- Coordinate with suppliers to manage delayed or expedited shipments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production schedules
- Communicate changes in delivery dates to relevant departments
- Anticipate material shortages and communicate proactively
- Participate in product launch and integration projects
- Maintain material inventory levels to meet established goals
- Support special tasks and analyzes as requested by the Supervisor
Essential Requirements
- Masters degree in Operations Management Logistics or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated history of success in a comparable position with involvement in MRP/SAP Materials and Production Planning.
- Knowledge of GMP and Standard Operating Procedures
- Proficiency in computer software such as Excel Word PowerPoint SAP and MRP
- Good English communication skills (written and spoken)
- Strong multitasking organizational and social skills
- Excellent problem-solving analytical and negotiation abilities
