Job Summary

MFCP (Motion & Flow Control Products Inc. is the largest Parker Hannifin distributor and the premier unrivaled leader in motion and flow control solutions. In addition to managing internal resources the IT Manager works closely with a core group of outside consultants with specialized skills in data center design and operations. The IT Manager uses these consultants to enhance MFCPs infrastructure and deliver best-in-class solutions for complex projects. IT also provides effective support and resources for various integration and data initiatives throughout the company while keeping and advancing MFCPs security posture for all computer systems electronic data and applications. The IT manager drives the adoption and integration of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality to support innovation and continuous improvement across the organization.

Primary Duties:

  • Lead and develop a small team of IT technicians fostering a collaborative environment and supporting professional growth.
  • Oversee daily monitoring and management of network and server infrastructure to ensure maximum systems uptime and reliability across a hybrid environment (primarily on-premises with Azure and cloud integration).
  • Provide guidance and influence MFCPs strategy to use innovative technologies (Artificial Intelligence Virtual Reality etc.)
  • Aligning IT Infrastructure with current and future business requirements and goals to ensure scalability
  • Managing IT budgets and developing accurate forecasts to support operational and strategic goals.
  • Evaluate risk develop and implement network protection recovery and backup processes to keep a best-in-class cybersecurity posture following ITIL best practices.
  • Assessing and purchasing new hardware and software to ensure reliability and integrity of the network
  • Test troubleshoot and perfect information systems for effective operation and continuous improvement.
  • Managing VMWare environment and service providers
  • Managing SQL databases production and services
  • Managing Microsoft software and systems and Azure Must be an advocate of Microsoft.
  • Implement robust security measures for network data storage and communication systems.
  • Collaborate with all departments and functions to provide IT resources and support for integration and data projects throughout the company.
  • Communicate effectively and present professionally in all interactions.
  • Leverage and manage a core group of outside consultants for specialized projects particularly in data center design and operations ensuring prompt and effective completion.
  • Demonstrate ability in VMWare Windows environments and SQL Server to support and optimize MFCPs core technology platforms.
  • Advocate for technologies solutions driving adoption of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality.
  • Maintain compliance with company safety policies and procedures reporting any concerns or incidents promptly.
  • Seek out and suggest ideas for change that will enhance departmental and/or company effectiveness and profitability with an emphasis on an enterprise-wide approach.
  • Leverage and manage 3rd party partners to ensure prompt and effective completion of projects.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Report all injuries to your supervisor. Reports any safety violations questions or concerns to your manager.
  • Offer strategic guidance to align IT infrastructure and initiatives with MFCPs current and future business requirements and goals.

Basic Requirements:

  • Degree in Information Technology preferred or 6 years of relevant experience in the IT field.
  • Excellent written & oral communication and strong relationship building skills needed.
  • Excellent computer skills including use of MS Office (Word Excel & Outlook); with a willingness to learn new software programs. Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 a plus.
  • Must be a good listener with above average reasoning ability and make minimal mistakes. Must be a good learner who can assimilate product knowledge and skills as they are presented.
  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people and personalities.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • As MFCP is a small employer and employees work in a collaborative team environment employees must be physically present in the office to perform his/her job functions.
  • Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record in accordance with company guidelines.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Work is generally completed in an office environment. Frequent sitting computer work and phone use are required with occasional walking standing bending and lifting up to 20 pounds.
