About the role
We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer to strengthen a squad working on a high-volume payment engine. Your specialty is testing ensuring the application delivers top performance in functionality resilience security and scalability.
Within the squad you will work in close cooperation with developers and product owners while also being part of a chapter of test engineers focused on continuous improvement and innovation of frameworks CI/CD pipelines and quality practices.
Your responsibilities
Build and maintain automation frameworks (Java Cucumber Gatling Karate).
Test APIs and messaging systems (Kafka JMS ActiveMQ EMS).
Contribute to refinement planning and end-to-end integration testing.
Automate performance and functional tests embedding them in CI/CD.
Apply knowledge of performance resilience and security testing.
Take part in maintenance and standby duties with your squad.
Actively coach and share knowledge with peers across squads.
Your profile
7 years experience in software testing including functional performance resilience and security.
5 years hands-on experience with Cucumber (Java implementation).
Strong knowledge of APIs Message Queues (ActiveMQ JMS EMS Kafka).
Proven experience creating automation frameworks from scratch for complex systems.
Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab TFS Azure DevOps).
Pro-active team player with strong communication skills (English spoken and written).
Nice to have:
Experience in the banking/payments industry (ISO20022 Swift SEPA).
Knowledge of Cassandra (CQL) Java (Akka Spring) Tibco Business Works Unix.
Familiar with Gatling Kibana Prometheus.
