Senior QA Specialist

Job Duties

• Execute feature test on a 0-day malware detection product
• Execute regression testing on Fortinet based products using a combination of manual and automationtesting techniques.
• Work closely with developers to understand new features
• Create and execute test specifications and test cases.
• Identify document and track software defects found during testing. Work closely with developers to ensure defects are correctly identified and fixed

Experience Required

• Software testing experience
• A degree or technical diploma in Computer Science Computer Technology or related field
• Understanding of TCP/IP routing DNS DHCP routing and switching
• Knowledge of general QA procedures and methodologies as well as software development fundamentals
• Experience configuring installing and troubleshooting server software and hardware in a Windows and Unix environment
• Ability to work on assigned tasks under tight time constraints
• Demonstrated ability to write clear and reproducible problem reports and test results
• Demonstrated knowledge of EXSI KVM HyperV Linux Sniff or Ethereal
• Demonstrated skills in scripting languages such as PYTHON shell are considered assets
• Knowledge of database a plus
• Knowledge of public cloud platforms is preferred

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $75000 - $100000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market job type and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidates subject knowledge skill level qualifications and experience.
