Job Summary

A dynamic mining company is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant with strong reporting skills to support finance operations and management decision-making to join their team in Johannesburg Gauteng. The role will involve providing accurate financial insights ensuring compliance with regulations and contributing to strategic business planning.

Responsibilities:

Manage general ledger and perform monthly reconciliations
Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to management
Maintain fixed asset register and ensure statutory compliance (VAT EMP201/501 Income Tax)
Handle cash management vendor management and payroll processing
Support audit processes both statutory and internal
Prepare month-end closures management accounts costing MIS and financial statements
Assist with budget planning forecasting and reporting to senior management
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance operations and procurement

Requirements:

Bachelors degree (Hons) in Accounting or Finance; SAICA Part 1 accreditation desirable
Minimum 3 years experience in a finance role within mining manufacturing or retail
Knowledge of IFRS and SARS regulations desirable
Strong communication attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint)
Pastel/SAGE and VIP Payroll/SAGE certificates advantageous
