Your role and responsibilities

As a Young Persons Advisor you will:

  • build a trusted relationship with young people to offer guidance advice and direct support in planning for their future
  • undertake regular statutory visits
  • chair Pathway Review meetings to manage and assess risk or any unmet needs relating to housing; education/employment; finances health and emotional wellbeing
  • provide advice and guidance on all these subjects will help your clients form secure foundations in their local community and increase their chances of living independently.

The team

Our Leaving Care and UASC teams are responsible for providing a leaving care service to care experienced young people aged 16 - 24. Team members work with young people to develop the skills and support they need to make a successful move away from care and towards more independent living.

The quality of the relationships created with young people is paramount as are working relationships which enable access to expertise and resources of a range of other services and agencies both within CYP and beyond.
