Job Description:
The Cash Management and Business Payments Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the Cash Management and Business Payments teams balancing both collaborative and independent tasks that require self-initiative and motivation. Key responsibilities include gathering and analyzing data delivering accurate reporting gathering and organizing data in response to audits and performing risk reviews. This role ensures operational integrity compliance with internal policies and external regulations and provides insights that drive informed decision-making.
Qualifications: This person should have a bachelors degree and at least four years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. They must demonstrate strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills both verbal and written. Additionally the candidate should be detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and have a collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Design produce and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports that provide visibility into operational performance customer activity financial metrics and risk indicators. Reporting includes transaction-level analysis new company onboarding and monitoring of inactive companies.
- Analyze customer behavior transaction volumes and payment patterns to identify anomalies emerging risks and operational inefficiencies. Translate findings into actionable insights for business leaders to support strategic planning and risk mitigation.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of data across reporting platforms by validating inputs reconciling discrepancies and maintaining thorough documentation. Maintain audit-ready data environments to support both internal and external audit requirements.
- Conduct targeted risk assessments and control testing across key areas such as Wire Transfer ACH customer audits RDC (Remote Deposit Capture) attestations and inventory and underwriting reviews. Ensure alignment with internal policies and external regulatory standards.
- Identify opportunities to streamline reporting audit preparation and risk review workflows. Implement automation and collaborate with stakeholders to improve efficiency reduce manual effort and enhance response times.
- Act as a liaison for internal and external auditors by gathering organizing and delivering requested data and documentation. Ensure timely accurate and compliant support for audit activities across Cash Management and Business Payments operations.
- Embrace and practice the Be the 1 principles and contribute to and support Operational programs.
- Maintain an understanding of industry regulations products technologies and trends.
- Participate in cross-training for department and attend team meetings.
- Actively pursue developmental opportunities as discussed in one-on-ones and/or performance reviews.
- Act in accordance with FBT policies and procedures as set forth in the employee handbook.
- Adhere to compliance procedures and participate in required compliance training.
