Job Summary
Job Title: Sr. IT Project Manager
Duration: 10 Months (Contract) W2
Location: Portland OR (Remote On-Site Meetings is required)
We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager with 10 years of experience managing large-scale public sector IT projects ideally within healthcare or immunization systems. The selected candidate will support the ALERT IIS Replacement Project a critical statewide initiative to modernize Oregons immunization information systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project planning scheduling and execution for immunization and public health IT systems.
- Collaborate with technical teams business stakeholders and program managers to define deliverables.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans schedules milestones and resource allocations.
- Monitor progress track KPIs and produce governance and compliance reports.
- Ensure systems comply with HIPAA CDC reporting and state regulations.
- Facilitate integration of ALERT IIS with legacy systems (IRIS POST) and emerging data standards (REALD SOGI).
Required Skills:
- 10 years of Project Management experience (preferably state government/public health).
- Expertise in Microsoft Office 365 for reporting documentation and collaboration.
- Strong experience with healthcare data standards: HL7 SOAP WSDL SQL.
- Knowledge of Oracle Visio Adobe Acrobat and process mapping tools.
- Excellent communication stakeholder management and presentation skills.
- Prior experience with state government projects highly preferred.
Preferred:
- PMP Certification.
- Experience with immunization registries CDC compliance or healthcare IT systems.
