Job Summary
Do you want to be part of a team delivering local transport improvements in communities across East Sussex
In this role you will make a real difference to the ways in which our residents and visitors travel to and from work shopping leisure and education by delivering schemes that encourage more sustainable active journeys and in doing so support the local economy and reduce carbon emissions.
Youll join a team working to identify prioritise and develop schemes that support the East Sussex Local Transport Plan objectives. Youll work with internal teams external partners and stakeholders. Youll manage the delivery of local transport schemes ranging from road crossings through to cycle routes and improvements for people using the bus.
We are looking for someone with:
- a wide interest in transport including walking wheeling and cycling
- the ability to organise manage and effectively prioritise a challenging workload
- the ability to work on your own initiativeand within a team environment
- effective communication skills in varied settings
