Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center is a 24-bed acute care critical access hospital serving the Florida Parishes region of Southeast Louisiana. The Accountant 4 is responsible for providing a full range of professional skills to resolve complex accounting and analytical functions related to the PeopleSoft Financials System for Lallie Kemp Medical Center. The incumbent will report directly to and receive general supervision from the Accountant Manager 1.
Minimum Qualifications
Six years of experience in accounting auditing financial operations payroll or banking; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field plus twenty-four semester hours in accounting plus three years of experience in accounting auditing financial operations payroll or banking; OR
A bachelors degree with twenty-four semester hours in accounting plus three years of experience in accounting auditing financial operations payroll or banking; OR
A bachelors degree in accounting finance business administration management economics or statistics plus three years of experience in accounting auditing financial operations payroll or banking; OR
An advanced degree in accounting finance business administration management economics quantitative methods or statistics plus two years of experience in accounting auditing financial operations payroll or banking; OR
Possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license plus one year of experience in accounting auditing financial operations payroll or banking.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Prepares monthly quarterly and annual financial reports for the hospital and LSU HCSD Central Office that require the compilation and analysis of financial information.
- Serves as a technical specialist performing in-depth/expanded activities in programs requiring advanced knowledge skills and abilities.
- Upon request completes the monthly Expenditure Analysis and meet with the Administrator CFO and Accountant Manager to review.
- Assists Accounts Payable with PeopleSoft questions/problems.

Shift:Monday - Friday 8AM - 4:30PM.
