Job Summary

Purpose/Objective of the Role:

The Public Safety Department is seeking student employees to assist with evening building lockups student lockout responses and general support to Public Safety operations.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled building lockups across campus ensuring doors and windows are secured.

  • Respond to student and staff lockout calls in a timely and professional manner.

  • Assist Public Safety staff with security-related operational support as assigned.

  • Document activities and incidents accurately and submit reports when required.

  • Provide courteous and professional assistance to community members.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Student applicants must possess a valid drivers license and be eligible to become a registered OWU driver.

  • Ability to walk long distances and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Reliable responsible and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures consistently.
