Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Writer to own and drive the end-to-end documentation efforts at Qdrant. This role is part of the core team and will collaborate closely with our engineers to create maintain and continuously improve technical documentation guides and tutorials.
Your work will directly impact how developers and customers adopt integrate and succeed with Qdrant.
Tasks
- Create maintain and improve Qdrants technical documentation developer guides and tutorials.
- Collaborate with core engineers to translate complex technical concepts into clear concise and developer-friendly content.
- Ensure documentation is consistent accurate and aligned with product releases.
- Build structured learning paths and tutorials to improve onboarding and adoption.
- Proactively identify gaps in documentation and work to address them.
- Contribute to shaping Qdrants overall developer experience by ensuring content accessibility and usability.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer or Developer Advocate with a strong focus on technical documentation.
- Deep technical understanding ideally with hands-on experience in backend systems databases or search technologies.
- Exceptional writing editing and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Experience working with graphical illustraction tools like e.g. Figma. We want to keep our documentation well-illustrated.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with engineers and product teams.
- Experience with documentation tools static site generators and version control (e.g. Git).
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Nice-to-Have
- Experience working at a Database or Search technology company.
- Familiarity with open-source communities and contributions.
- Knowledge of AI/ML information retrieval or distributed systems.
