Required Skills : Education Requirements: Required: Bachelors Degree (or equivalent experience) Preferred: Masters Degree Experience Requirements: Required: 3 years paralegal experience in healthcare or health plan setting OR 5 years experience with public agency regulations (e.g. Brown Act HIPAA CMS Medi-Cal) Experience in highly regulated industries Preferred: 7 years paralegal experience in vendor/provider contracts or administrative law Experience in matter/project management Skills: Required: Proficiency in legal technology and research platforms Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and writing skills Proactive responsive and self-starting Effective time management and prioritization Preferred: Familiarity with legal tech teleconferencing secure file transfer tool Must-haves Must have Paralegal certification Must have litigation experience corporate litigation is a huge plus. (managed care healthcare or health plan background) Litigation skills: Document review legal documents strong writing skills Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience in a health plan or health care organization setting handling complex assignments relating to regulatory public law or health care issues Experience to avoid: no family law or personal injury law. These areas of law experience are not relevant.
