NJOIT is looking for a Mid-Level SQL Server Migration DBA to support planning execution and validation of database migrations with practical experience in SQL Server administration/migration tools across multiple versions and hybrid platforms.
NJOIT is looking for a mid-level SQL Server DBA consultant with experience in SQL Server database administration clustering always on availability groups server management backup & restore of SQL Server databases with focus on database migration spanning multiple SQL Server versions multiple state agencies.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with the assessment and documentation of existing SQL Server environments.
- Support database migration efforts including backup/restore scripting data transfers and validation.
- Perform routine health checks and troubleshooting during and after migrations.
- Collaborate with senior DBAs infrastructure and application teams.
- Execute test migrations and contribute to performance tuning and optimization.
- Ensure data integrity security and minimal application impact throughout the process
- Ensure high availability disaster recovery and security compliance throughout the migration process.
- Maintain documentation and support incident resolution post-migration.
