Job Title: Pharmacist
Location: Tampa FL 33634
Duration: 12 months with possible extension or conversion
Shift: 9 am - 530 pm M-F

Job Description:

Summary:

The pharmacist role is a key component of the prescription fulfillment journey. We dispense specialty medications life saving medication for rare or complex conditions such as cancer cystic fibrosis psoriasis asthma etc.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Performing final verification of prescription orders including REMS controlled substances Home infusion
Ensuring prescription orders are being completed on time to meet the need by date set by the patients
Assisting in dispensing of medication. Printing pick tickets finding the corresponding drug(s) / supplies and inputting into computer software the correct qty lot and NDC of drug and supply lines.
Assisting in all aspects of inventory management. Assists in receiving drug from supplier/carrier unpacking sorting and receiving into computer system. Assists in putting the drugs and supplies on the shelf correctly and in an orderly manner.
Assists in shipping by using the correct pack outs for refrigerated or ambient medications restocks gel pack restocks coolers.
There is a company orientation. I will show them around the facility and show them their workstation. I will have them work with other team members on various stations to ensure they get an idea of how our day-to-day operations work.

Accuracy ensuring orders are received picked and shipped accurately
Being a team player assisting others in the department whenever needed
Inventory measures ensuring drugs are being rotated and not expiring or aging ensuring lot numbers and expiration dates are correctly being inputted at receiving placing orders on time

Qualification:

Education/Certification Required: BS in Pharmacy or PharmD

Licensure Required: FL Pharmacist LicensePreferred: Multistate licensure

Must haves: previous experience as a pharmacist

Nice to haves: Specialty/mail order experience

Microsoft Excel Microsoft Word Microsoft Outlook knowledge

Experience with managing inventory

Experience with managing pharmacy technicians

Performance indicators:
